RuneScape Beginner Boss Guide

If you’re new to the RuneScape platform, then the odds of knowing what it has to offer are less. However, we do have a guide for you that showcases all there is to know about approaching beginner-level bosses. We hope you like it!

Bosses

Before we begin, here’s a quick list of what bosses we’ll be covering throughout the guide. We’ll start with Barrows and slowly move on to Kalphite Queen, Giant Mole, King Black Dragon, Chaos Elemental, and Dagannoth Kings.

Barrows Brothers

These brothers are always on top of the list because of the simple fight mechanics. You have to defeat all six of them to obtain rewards in the form of tank armor, requiring level 70 Defense to equip.

The fight takes place in Morytania, which isn’t convenient for beginners as there aren’t many teleports to get there. To make things easier, you need a fair amount of progression in the game. The pits are located northeast of Burgh de Rott, and you can get to their location using a Games Necklace or Drakan’s Medallion.

Kalphite Queen

The Queen of Kalphites is quite challenging for beginners as she utilizes all three combat styles during battle. You can head into the Exiled Kalphite Hive whenever you’re ready to take her on.

First, head south from Al-Kharid city to reach the Shantay Pass. Walk through the gates and head west until you locate the hive. Make sure you have two Ropes in your inventory because you’ll need to climb all the way down to find her.

Giant Mole

Giant Mole, as the name suggests, was once a normal-sized mole who came in contact with a Growth Potion, thus, turning it into this giant beast. It’s a beginner’s boss so you don’t have to worry much about dealing with it.

You can also learn a lot about boss and combat mechanics from it. The mole is located in the undergrounds of Falador city. You need to head to the city park, look for a plant root structure, and then enter the passageway to find it.

King Black Dragon

Once you’re at a better combat level, you can consider fighting the King Black Dragon. But do make sure that you are fully prepared to overcome the challenge as a first-time experienced player. KBD’s dragon fire attacks come in three forms, Freeze, Shock, and Poison.

First, head to Edgeville to locate an artifact northwest and north of the Monastery. Before getting into battle, make sure you have Protect from Magic active to play it safe. Super Antifire Potions can also be used to negate incoming fire attacks.

Chaos Elemental

If you head into the depth of the Wilderness, you will come across an entity named Chaos Elemental. It has an odd and wild pattern of attacking so make sure you practice a few times before running in with good gear.

You can quickly get there by teleporting to Edgeville and then heading south to find a lever that can take you to the deep Wilderness. From there, head east and you’ll eventually come across it. Keep Protect from Magic on and have good food in your inventory. Yeah, you’ll survive.

Dagannonth Kings

The lair consists of three bosses, Dagannoth Rex, Prime, and Supreme. Each of these bosses uses one of the three combat styles, also making them weak to the subsequent. For instance, Supreme is weak to Melee, Prime to Ranged, and Rex to Magic.

You need to prepare well if you’re taking them on alone. However, we recommend you approach them in a group until you’re familiar with the mechanics. Purchase a Dagannoth King teleport from the Grand Exchange that’ll straightaway take you there.

Conclusion

Bossing is something you need to learn to progress in the game. It’s also a good way to make RS3 Gold, as well as kill them with your friends. Make sure you don’t go overboard and face higher-level bosses because each one of them has different combat mechanics that you need to be aware of. Good luck!
