Old School RuneScape (OSRS) fans have reason to celebrate, as Jagex officially announced “The Blood Moon Rises” at RuneFest 2024 – the sixth Grandmaster quest in the game’s storied history and the dramatic conclusion to the long-running Myreque quest series.
A Long-Awaited Finale
Slated for early 2026, The Blood Moon Rises is the long-speculated final chapter in the Myreque storyline, which began nearly two decades ago. The series, known for its gripping lore and vampire-focused narrative, last saw an addition in June 2020 with Sins of the Father. Though officially ranked as a Master quest, many players already consider Sins of the Father to be Grandmaster-worthy due to its intense boss fight with Vanstrom Klause.
Now, OSRS is giving the series the sendoff it deserves – officially categorizing the finale as a Grandmaster quest.
Face the Lord of Darkness: Lowerniel Drakan

This new area could potentially open up high-level content, including new monsters, lore, and rewards.
