Exploring the Depths of Elden Ring: Sage’s Cave Guide

Embark on a journey through the mysterious Sage’s Cave in Elden Ring, filled with hidden paths, treasures, and formidable bosses.

Location and Entrance

Located on the Altus Plateau bordering Gelmir, the entrance to the Sage’s Cave can be found northwest of Lux Ruins, southeast of ‘Old Altus Tunnel’ Site of Grace, and southwest of Wyndham Ruins.

Navigating the Cave

Upon entering, you’ll encounter Illusory Walls concealing hidden passages. Smash these walls to reveal secret routes and treasures:

Initial Treasures: Proceed through the cave until you reach a small river leading to a waterfall with an Undead. Avoid jumping down the waterfall to prevent fatal damage. Destroy Undead remains to prevent Skeletons from resurrecting. Continue to find two treasure chests containing 1x Lost Ash of War and 5x Rejuvenating Bolus.

Further Exploration: Move south through the passage, drop down, and collect 2x Golden Rune (5) from corpses in shallow water. Smash the cave wall between fire bowls to access four treasure chests: 5x Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot, Black Hood, Candletree Wooden Shield, and 1x Nascent Butterfly.

Southern Passage: Proceed south, eliminate Skeletons near a campfire, and face a strong axe fighter. Open another Illusory Wall on the left to reveal a treasure chest with 1x Stonesword Key.

Final Treasures: Follow the remaining corridor to discover three treasure chests offering 10x Golden Great Arrow, 4x Dragonwound Grease, and Raptor Talons.

Boss Fights

Within the Sage’s Cave, you’ll encounter two challenging bosses:

Necromancer Garris: Found behind an Illusory Wall near the waterfall room. Garris summons rolling skulls and Skeletons. Dodge his attacks, eliminate the skulls promptly, and exploit openings to defeat him and acquire the Family Heads Flail.

Black Knight Assassin: Invisible and formidable, this boss requires keen observation. Watch for tracks in the water to anticipate his movements. Utilize wide-swinging weapons or fire-based attacks to momentarily reveal and damage him. Defeat him to earn 9000 Elden Ring Runes and the Concealing Veil Talisman.

Mastering the Sage’s Cave requires careful exploration and strategic combat prowess. Use your acquired knowledge to overcome its challenges and claim its rich rewards in Elden Ring. MMOexp can help you, join us now.
