The Diablo 4 Season 10 PTR has dramatically shifted the balance of Sanctuary. With Chaos Armor, new uniques, and major buffs, the meta is already taking shape—even though Blizzard still has time to tweak things before launch. Some classes are thriving with powerful new synergies, while others are leaning on tried-and-true builds that continue to shine.
Here’s an early look at the strongest builds for each class so far in the Season 10 PTR.
Barbarian – Whirlwind / Mighty Throw Hybrid
Barbarians are surging thanks to the Sabre of Tsasgal, a new unique that’s fueling a deadly hybrid setup. This build mixes:
Whirlwind for clearing packs,
Mighty Throw for elite-hunting, and
Hammer of the Ancients for boss-shredding.
The flexibility makes it a top-tier option for both farming and endgame dungeons. Unless balance changes step in, this hybrid setup is on track to define the Barbarian meta in Season 10.
Druid – Rotting Lightbringer Pulverize

The Rogue hasn’t had the smoothest ride in recent seasons, and Season 10 doesn’t appear to change that. Experiments with Reload Rogue and Chaos Perk setups haven’t panned out yet.
That said, Twisting Blades remains the class strongest and most reliable path forward. Its fast, evasive combat and devastating AoE bursts keep it a solid choice, even if Rogues as a whole lag behind the very top classes.
Sorcerer – Hydra
Despite heavy promotion for Lightning Sorc in Season 10, reality says otherwise:Hydra Sorcerer is still the king.

Barbarians are thriving with hybrid Whirlwind power, Druids and Necros are tearing things up with Chaos-fueled builds, and Sorcerers once again have Hydra running rampant. Meanwhile, Spiritborn Jaguar Thorns could make them a breakout star of the season.
